Illinois Parentage Act of 2015 Brings Changes to Rights of Illinois Families

On January 1, 2016, the Illinois Parentage Act of 2015 became law.  Among the many changes affecting Illinois families, the Act (an update of the original, 1984 Act) now provides gender-neutral definitions of parenting - enhancing the rights of Illinois' LGBTQ parents.

Other changes include laws relating to genetic testing, paternity, and divorce.

Attorney Emily Wessel Farr is available to review what the newest version of the law means for you and your family.  Contact us today for a free consultation.
